At about 1.50 PM on January 13, 2023, the Hai Van Tunnel Operations Center discovered that the vehicle had overturned on the pass. The route management unit appointed the rescue and medical forces to rescue the victim and coordinate traffic in the accident area.
At the scene, the tank truck with plate 74H-000.71 moving from the South to the North overturned, causing fuel overflow, and someone was trapped in the cabin.
