The phone bell rang in the small room of the worker’s house at Thung Thi tunnel project site.
“…I got the cake, Dad. I like it very much. But this Mid-Autumn Festival, you are not at home, I miss you a lot …”, a dear message from Huynh Ngoc Cu’s daughter – a bulldozer driver at the Thung Thi tunnel project.
Mr. Cu, like thousands of other engineers and workers, temporarily put aside nostalgia to cling to the construction site, racing against time with unremitting efforts.
Mr. Cu shared: “My daughter like the Mid-Autumn gifts from Deo Ca. I’m happy to hear that because I can’t buy her gift by myself”.
Also welcoming the full-moon away from home, Mr. Nguyen Duy Ty – construction worker at Truong Vinh tunnel project said: “I am very grateful for the Group’s attention. In response to that sentiment, we have raised the spirit of urgent work for the day the project is nearing the finish line”.
Mid-Autumn Festival is coming in the sound of dragon dance in every road. With the characteristics of work associated with construction sites, now and then, not all workers can gather with their families and relatives during the Mid-Autumn.
These days, pairs of loving mooncakes have reached out to all Deo Ca families, from urban to rural areas, from plains to remote mountainous areas.
“Luck full house, full-moon adds happiness
Wealth bursting, bright moon shines glory”
The Deo Ca people aim for a greater reunion by making efforts to complete the road works entrusted by the Government, so that all roads in the homeland of Vietnam are more convenient, North – South get closer to each other.
Pairs of mooncakes are delivered to the workers’ families:
