Previously, Hai Van TMC received information that a tank truck catched fire on Hai Van Pass. Through the camera system, the Operations Center detected smoke rising on the road near the foot of the northern pass. Immediately, Hai Van TMC ordered firefighting and rescue department on duty in the north to dispatch 2 fire engines and 1 water supply tank truck to approach the scene for handling. At the same time the Mannagement center called to report the problem to the authorities to coordinate handling.

About the driver, due to jumping out of the vehicle, he injured his leg and was quickly taken to the emergency treatment.

The operation management unit of Hai Van tunnel and the functional forces of the Thua Thien Hue Fire Protection Department worked together to extinguish the fire so that the pass could return to nomal traffic.
